Doris Grau

Doris Gray ( born October 12, 1924 in New York City, New York, † December 30, 1995 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actress, voice actress and script supervisor.

Life and work

Gray is best known for her work as a script supervisor (45 episodes), and as the voice of kitchen help Doris in The Simpsons. From 1965, she worked as a script supervisor, among other things, for some episodes of Cheers and discovered the work as an actress and voice actress until several years later for yourself. In addition to the role of cuisine Help Doris she spoke another Doris in The Critic. Both figures are heavy smokers.

As an actress, she played among others in the film The Distinguished Gentleman.

In 1995, she suffered a respiratory disease and died at the age of 71 years. After Gray's death silenced her character in The Simpsons to 18 squadron. Meanwhile, the role of Tress MacNeille is spoken.
