Dorset (sheep)

The Dorset is a derived from the English county Dorsetshire sheep meat that is guaranteed by its high fertility and very good meat quality is very high breeding success. This breed of sheep is aseasonal in heat and can last up to three times give birth to lambs in two years.

Today's distribution area is located in the Western Europe, maritime climate. It is mainly found in Ireland, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Denmark.

It is well suited for an intersection with the Texel sheep.
