Dorylaion ( ancient Greek Δωρύλαιον; Latin form Dorileon or Dorylaeum Germanized, Eskisehir ) was an ancient city in northern Phrygia in Asia Minor near the present-day Eskişehir (Turkey).

The city already existed under the Phrygians, but is first mentioned in Roman time in written sources. In the Roman Empire it was a trading center in the Byzantine Empire a diocese. After the Battle of Manzikert ( 1071 ), it was conquered by the Seljuk Turks.

During the Crusades took place in two battles near Dorylaion, which was already in ruins at the time. During the First Crusade, the Crusaders beat here the Seljuks, their first major victory ( Battle of Eskisehir ( 1097 ) ). During the Second Crusade, it was the site of a sensitive defeat of the Crusader ( Battle of Eskisehir ( 1147 ) ).

The Byzantine Emperor Manuel I Comnenus fortified Dorylaion 1175, but it already lost 1176 to the Seljuk Turks following the Battle of Myriokephalon. 1240 Dorylaion was conquered by the Ottomans.
