Doublet (clothing)

Pinto ( etymologically related to Jacket, Eng. Jacket ), is a shorter, body sculpting skirt for men, by the mid -14th century and developed the French pour point corresponded.

Initially worn long, it shrank in the late 15th century to the very edge of sleeve jacket, which was partly supported in part with short, open at the sides and front of laps without any laps.

From this garment, the existing in the German surname Scheckler leads, but also strong in the Dutch, Belgian and French space spread Surname Schäck (also check etc.).
