Doug Lewis (skier)

Douglas ( " Doug " ) Lewis ( born January 18, 1964 in Waitsfield, Vermont ) is a former American professional skier. He drove almost exclusively race in the downhill event. Today, he is an entrepreneur and television presenter.

Biography

In 1981, Lewis at the age of 17 years for the first time participated in a World Cup race. The first World Cup points he won three years later in ninth place of departure in Whistler. Also in 1984 he drove in the Olympic downhill in Sarajevo on the 24th Place. There was Lewis' most successful year: At the World Cup 1985 in Bormio, he won a bit surprising the departure bronze medal.
