Dove-2

Dove -2 is an Earth observation satellite of the U.S. company Cosmogia in Sunnyvale, California.

The satellite was on April 19, 2013 10:00 UTC from Baikonur with the Biosatelliten Bion -M1 and the five small satellites AIST 2, Beesat -2, Beesat -3, OSSI 1 and SOMP launched by a Soyuz - 2.1a rocket. On April 21, he was separated from Bion -M1.

Body and Payload

For Dove -2 is a CubeSat size 3U. The satellite has a small camera and to demonstrate the technical options available, such as cost- satellites can be built with COTS components.
