Dragoljub Mićunović

Dragoljub Mićunović (* July 14, 1930 in Merdare, Kosovo, Yugoslavia) was a professor of philosophy at the University of Belgrade and chairman of the Demokratska Stranka ( Democratic Party) in Serbia.

Biography

Dragoljub Mićunović was a professor of philosophy at the University of Belgrade and a member of the practice group. He was one of eight people who were expelled in 1975 for political reasons from the University of Belgrade. In the 1980s he worked at the Belgrade Institute of Social Sciences.

When the Demokratska Stranka (Democratic Party) was re-established in 1990, Mićunović was party chairman. In January 1994, Zoran Djindjic was elected his successor. Later, he was one of a small party founded in 1996 called Demokratski centar ( Democratic Centre) and was its chairman. He still could but as a candidate in the parliamentary elections in Serbia in 2003 on the list of Demokratska Stranka. In the years 2003/2004 he was Parlamentsprädident of the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro. In 2004, the Demokratski centar went back to the Demokratska Stranka; currently owned Mićunović to the party Presidium of the Demokratska Stranka.
