Dragon's breath

Dragon 's Breath (English for The Breath of the Dragon ) is one in the United States offered by America shotgun ammunition in caliber 12 In red plastic sleeves are fine metal filings of zirconium that ignite at launch and produce a more than 10 m wide acting flame jet which can reach a diameter of up to 2 m.

This type of ammunition was probably developed around 1998 in the U.S. and is banned in Germany.

This cartridge can not be used in (semi-) automatic shotguns, firstly because of the recoil when firing is not sufficient to operate the repeater mechanism, and second, the jet of fire for three to five seconds will remain and therefore too great a risk in ejecting an even burning bush would be given.
