Drumcondra FC

The Drumcondra Football Club (Irish Cumann Peile Droim Conrach ) was an Irish football club based in a suburb of Dublin.

Drumcondra played in 1928 in the top Irish League. The " drums " were in the 50s and 60s, one of the most successful and popular Irish clubs. The home games were played in Tolka Park Stadium, which is now used by Shelbourne FC. The club disbanded in 1972 after the family had transferred Prole as the owner of the club whose license for the first Irish League to the Home Farm FC. Similar to the local rivals Shamrock Rovers, whose owner at the same time also sold their shares, the club had not liquidated, were the reasons for the withdrawal of a financial nature. The heyday in the fifties, the Irish football was plunged into a crisis that led to economic problems in most clubs mainly by falling viewer interest and related lack of revenue.
