Drummers Focus

The drummer's focus is a private drum school, which was opened in 1983 by Cloy Petersen in Munich as the first modern drum school in Germany. Today it is Europe's biggest drum school.

Lessons

Are taught beginners and advanced amateurs and professionals. Also a teacher training is offered, which is recognized in Bavaria and Baden- Württemberg as vocational training.

There are over 1000 hours of teaching per week granted about half of them in Munich. The classrooms are equipped with Mapex drums of the company.

An important part of the teaching takes to play one on the exercise pad. Here, the basic technique is taught, which is then transferred to the drums. On the mediation of the Groove feeling special emphasis.

The 30 drum teacher at the drummer's focus are established performers. Many were long on tour, so that students can also benefit from their practical experience.

The founder Cloy Petersen talks about his philosophy of a " rhythmic instance" that accompanies every pace, every note value and any improvisation.
