Dubai Holding

Dubai Holding ( Arabic: دبي القابضة ) is a holding company owned by the Dubai government. It manages the assets of Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who holds 99.67 per cent of Dubai Holding.

The Dubai Holding manages and controls over 20 companies from the real estate, building, finance, health, energy, research, education, entertainment, media, internet, tourism and biotechnology. Ahmad Bin Byat is Chairman of Dubai Holding.

Group structure

Dubai International Capital (DCI )

Dubai International Capital (DIC ) was established in October 2004 as part of the international investments of Dubai Holding. It will be made in three areas of investment:

Concentration on secondary leveraged buyout (LBO ) firms in Europe, North America and Asia.

  • Investments in MENA region ( Middle- East and Northern Africa)
  • Investments in leveraged buy- outs, funds, co-investments
  • Investments in infrastructure, growth, development and capital

Investments in listed companies

Dubai International Capital is said to provide the highest possible return for its shareholders, the ruling family of the Emirate of Dubai.

The Dubai Group was founded in 2004 and covers the following areas:

Dubai Properties

Dubai Properties is responsible for the development of large construction and real estate projects within the Emirate of Dubai:

Jumeirah Beach Residence is a 1.7 km long and about 2 million -square-foot area at the Dubai Marina. In this area are to be built 36 houses and four hotels for over ten thousand people. These include the Al Fattan Marine Towers. The project will cost over 6 billion UAE Dirhams.

Business Bay is intended to include a central business district with over 230 skyscrapers.

Jumeirah Group

The Jumeirah Group is a hotel chain that specializes in luxury hotels.
