Dubravka Å uica

Dubravka Šuica ( born May 20, 1957 in Dubrovnik, Croatia) is a Croatian politician of the party, the HDZ. She was from 2001 to 2009 Mayor of Dubrovnik. Since 1 July 2013, it belongs to the European Parliament.

The World Mayor project gave the city of Dubrovnik Mayor Dubravka and Šuica 2006 8th place in the mayor in the world ranking. The ranking was determined by Internet voting. Through the project, the importance of the Mayor's Office to be highlighted.

Dubravka Šuica is a member and a vice president of the Chamber of Local Authorities of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe.

With the accession require -election for the European elections on April 14, 2013 Šuica won one of the twelve Croatian mandates. So she moved on July 1, 2013, in the European Parliament and will belong to this at least until mid-2014.
