The Duquesne University is a private, Catholic university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The college was in 1878 under the name Pittsburgh Catholic College of the Holy Ghost (Latin Universitas Sancti Spiritus Duquesnensis ) and was renamed in 1911 in honor of the former French Governor General Ange de Ville Menne, Marquis de Duquesne. Today, 9,617 students are enrolled.
