Dürrensee

The Landro (Italian: Lago di Landro ) is a lake in the Dolomites in South Tyrol, Italy. The 1406 m high altitude lake is accessible from the south via Schluderbach of Cortina d'Ampezzo or from the north of Dobbiaco in the Val Pusteria on the road through the Landro. The lake is bordered to the west by the natural park Fanes -Senes- Prague and to the east of the Nature Park Three Peaks. The lake has few, low-water inflows and has no outlet, so it is warmer than comparable lakes in a similar altitude and in the summer quite suitable for bathing ( gravel beach on the north shore ). You can circle the lake on foot easily, partly unmarked paths. On the western side there is a small restaurant.
