Düsseldorf-Rath
Rath is a district in the northeast of Dusseldorf with 18,557 inhabitants in 2007. The district is located in the immediate vicinity of Düsseldorf Airport and is adjacent to the city of Ratingen.
History
Documented Rath was already mentioned in 1375. Rath and surroundings were rural in character until 1897, until the establishment of the Mannesmann tube plant, which today gives its industrial character of the district and is now part of the French company Vallourec. 1909 Rath was incorporated together with sub- Rath and Lichtenbroich at his own request to Dusseldorf.

Location
