Dusty Korek
Dusty Korek ( born April 14, 1995) is a Canadian ski jumper.
Career
Korek made his international debut at age 15 in October 2010 at the FIS Cup in Einsiedeln. With positions 45 and 47 he remained however far behind initial successes. The following year he started again in July in the FIS Cup. In Gerardmer he reached the 10th and 26th place for the first time the points. Then he started only a day later in Courchevel for the first time in ski jumping Continental Cup. After rank 56 in the first jumping Korek was disqualified in the second jump.
In the Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2012 in Innsbruck, he was able to win with the team in the team the bronze medal after an eighth place in the individual competition. After second place in the FIS Cup in Liberec Korek started at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2012 Junior - Turkish Erzurum. In summer 2012, Korek started in Stams and Kranj again in the Continental, but remained again without success point. After allowing him to jump in Kranj back in the points in July 2013, he joined the Ski Jumping Grand Prix. After he failed to qualify for the individual competition in Hinterzarten, he ended up with the team at the same place with fourth place just behind the podium ranks. Also in Courchevel the team with fifth place achieved a very good result. In the individual competition, however, he remained in the sequence again behind the points.
