Dwayne Evans

Dwayne Evans ( Dwayne Eugene Evans, born October 13, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona ) is a retired American sprinter who had his greatest successes in the 200 -meter run.

In 1976 he qualified for the U.S. eliminator as runner-up for the Olympic Games in Montreal, where he won the bronze medal in 20.43 s behind the Jamaican Donald Quarrie ( 20.23 s ) and his compatriot Millard Hampton ( 20.29 s ).

In 1979 he was U.S. champion, starting in 1981 for the Arizona State University NCAA champion. In 1986, he was U.S. vice- champion and runner-up at the Goodwill Games.
