Dynamic random-access memory#Pseudostatic RAM .28PSRAM.29

Pseudo Static RAM ( PSRAM ) refers to a type of memory chips for computers. Its content is volatile ( volatile ), that is, the stored information is lost when the power supply is removed.

A PSRAM is made of a DRAM with built-in control circuit the required refreshing of the memory cells and a circuit for implementing the SRAM interface to the DRAM interface. Thus, it combines the advantages of low area requirements of the DRAM with the relatively simple control of an SRAM.

Product name for the PSRAM are sorted by Manufacturers CellularRAM ( Micron Technology ), 1T- SRAM ( MoSys ) and Psiram ( Tezzaron Semiconductor, 2003).
