DziewiÄ™tlice

Dziewiętlice ( German Heiner village, Czech Pruský Jindřichov ) is a village in the municipality Paczków ( Patschkau ) in Poland. It is located in powiat Nyski in the Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

The town is located south of Trzeboszowice ( German Schwammelwitz ) and about eight kilometers southeast of Paczków ( Patschkau ) to 226 m above sea level and near the border with Bernartice in the Czech Republic. The village stream, ground water, comes from the Reichensteiner mountains and often results in high water; below the village of the middle creek flowing to him.

History

The village was first mentioned in documents in 1284, but is older. 1373 must have already had a church, the village, as a half Hube was named as church property. Until 1374 it was still not have its own parish, until this year a priest Matthias is mentioned repeatedly in Heiner village as a witness. The city Patschkau acquired in 1610 parts of the village with fields and water mill, farmers and gardeners as well as the inn with a licensed bar.

The Catholic Church of St. Magdalene was destroyed as a wooden church in the Hussite Wars and replaced by a stone. Since 1897 a steam sawmill with 60 employees, was operated, which traded as Archbishop Wood Industry Heiner village O / S from 1931. 1929/30, the church was rebuilt and enlarged. In 1937 there were in Heinersdorf two bakers, a well-digger, a dentist, two butchers, a barber, three inns, three general stores, a basket maker, a painter, a machine shop, a Mühele, a saddler, a blacksmith, three tailors, four shoemakers, a wheelwright, three carpenters, a savings and loan association and an electricity cooperative.
