E and F-class destroyer

The E- and F- class was a class of ships of a total of 18 destroyers of the Royal Navy, which were put into service from 1934. Nine of the ships were lost in World War II, three were of the Royal Canadian Navy handed over one each of the Hellenic Navy and the Dominican Republic.

E-Class

  • HMS Echo, launched on 16 February 1934 In 1944, the Hellenic Navy passed as Navarinon.

  • HMS Express, launched on 29 May 1934 passed in 1943 as HMCS Gatineau to the Royal Canadian Navy.

F- class

  • HMS Fame, launched on June 28, 1934, passed in 1948 as Generalissimo of the Dominican Republic.
  • HMS Faulknor, flotilla, launched on June 12, 1934, 1946 scrapped.
  • HMS Fearless, launched on 12 May 1934 torpedoed on 12 July 1941 at Mediterranean by Italian torpedo bombers, and on July 23, 1941 abandoned.
  • HMS Firedrake, launched on June 28, 1934 on December 16, 1942 sunk by U 211.
  • HMS Forester, launched on June 28, 1934, 1946 scrapped.
  • Torpedoed HMS Foresight, launched on 29 June 1934 on August 12, 1942 at the Mediterranean by Italian torpedo bombers and abandoned.
  • HMS Fortune, launched on 29 August 1934, when HMCS Saskatchewan handed over to the Royal Canadian Navy
  • HMS Foxhound, launched on 2 October 1934, when HMCS Qu'Appelle handed over to the Royal Canadian Navy.
  • Run HMS Fury, launched on 10 September 1934 on 21 June 1944, Normandy on a mine and irreparably damaged.
