Eagan is a city ( with a status of "City" ) in Dakota County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, Eagan had 64 206 inhabitants, making it the ninth largest city in Minnesota.
Eagan, which is part of the metropolitan area of Minneapolis -Saint Paul, was chosen by Money magazine ranked 12 of the most livable cities in the U.S. in 2006.
Geography
Eagan is located in the metropolitan area of the Twin Cites near Minneapolis. According to the United States Census Bureau, the area of the city is 86.6 km ². Both the interstate highways I - 35 East and I-494, and Minnesota State Route 55 run nearby.
