Earl Derr Biggers
Earl Derr Biggers ( born August 24, 1884 in Warren, Ohio; † April 5, 1933 in Pasadena, California ) was an American writer.
Dear Earl Biggers graduated in 1907 from his studies at Harvard University and then worked as a journalist. His 1913 published thriller Seven Keys to Baldpate was a great success and was a total of seven times filmed. George M. Cohan adapted the novel for a stage version.
Until today he has created the character of Charlie Chan, the great success of his creation in the film from 1934 Biggers experienced but no longer, as he died in 1933 of a heart attack.
