Earthling

The term earthling (English earthling ) denotes a being underground or near-Earth origin, mostly from the planet Earth. The term was coined by science fiction authors to describe a contemptuous tone, the extraterrestrial beings sometimes generally ostensibly against inhabitants of the earth or in terms of people make use of. The word ending in " -ling ", such as in " Tom Thumb ", assumed mostly the immaturity of the designated system.

Use

Either of aliens in science fiction or nerds or geeks for every living creature on earth. An example of the latter is to be found in the novel Freak by Rodman Philbrick. The term also comes with an ironic and witty undertone before in the press.
