Ebersbach- Musbach is an Upper Swabian village in the northwest of the district of Ravensburg in Baden- Württemberg.

Geography

The Atzenberger height in the municipality is part of the European watershed ( Rhine-Danube watershed ).

Ebersbach- Musbach was originally in a high moorland, which was used until the mid-20th century to peat extraction. The landscape and nature reserve " Musbacher - Booser Ried " is the habitat of rare animal and plant species.

Ebersbach- Musbach adjacent to the city Aulendorf, the communities Altshausen and Boms in the district of Ravensburg and Bad Saulgau in Sigmaringen County and the city of Bad Schussenried in the district of Biberach.

History

In today's municipality were found in the peat-cutting, pottery shards, bones and bovine teeth, suggesting a settlement already in the early Stone Age. 1921 a stone ax was found, which is about 2200 BC emerged. Furthermore, were found on the district Boos traces of settlement from the Roman period. Here a stand of 75 in Upper Swabia proven Roman estates ( villae rustica ). Ebersbach

1269 Ebersbach was first documented, as Ulrich von Gundelfingen sold the place and church patronage in the near Upcoming Altshausen of the Teutonic Order. The Coming acquired as a result more land in the immediate vicinity. In light of the field Landkomtur the Coming sat in the plot Tiergarten a pleasure house was built (1699 converted into a courtyard ) and a vivarium set up (repealed 1699).

In the course of secularization came Ebersbach 1806 to the Kingdom of Württemberg. 1825, the municipality Eberbsach was founded. Musbach

Musbach was first mentioned in 1286, when the Coming Altshausen sold courtyards. Geigelbach

1231 was in the parish of Boos (then Bohoz, Boz Boss or written ) a convent of Cistercian nuns whose convent was moved in 1240 to the newly founded monastery Baindt. 1374 the parish was incorporated Boos the monastery. Later, an "office Geigelbach " the Austrian front bailiwick is occupied Swabia, which consisted of Geigelbach, Boos, Inge hardware and the communities Altshausen and Ebisweiler. History of the overall community

On January 1, 1967, the new church Musbach was formed by the Association of Municipalities Musbach and Geigelbach. The municipality of Ebersbach- Musbach was taken on September 1, 1971 by combining the previously independent municipalities Ebersbach and Musbach.

The community is a member of the 1972 Gemeindeverwaltungsverband Altshausen based in Altshausen since January 1.

With the dissolution of the district Saulgau Ebersbach- Musbach was on 1 January 1973 part of the district of Ravensburg.

Religions

Ebersbach- Musbach is quite as Upper Swabia dominated Roman Catholic. In the town there are two parishes belonging to the Dean's Office Saulgau: the parish of St. Michael in Ebersbach and the parish of St. Valentinus in Boos.

The evangelical Christians of the community belong to the parish church in the district of Biberach Altshausen.

Coat of arms

Coat Description: silver ( white) a double row of red and silver ( white) geschachteter oblique beams ( beams Cistercian ), covered with a solid black Tatzenkreuz ( German cross of the Order ).

The awarded on August 30, 1974 coat of arms recalls the centuries- long membership of the municipal district to ecclesiastical lordships: the " German Order of the Cross" stands for the Coming Altshausen to the Ebersbach was long; the " Cistercian bar" for relations with the Cistercian monastery Baindt.

The same flag has awarded community the colors red and white (red- silver).

Culture and sights

Structures

  • Parish Church of St. Valentin, Boos: The late medieval church was demolished in 1888 to the choir and replaced by a new building in the Gothic Revival style. 1929 and 1966, the historicist features as many places completely removed as part of renovations. The pulpit was lost, but the altars were kept in the attic of the local school. Thus, the neo-Gothic main altar and two side altars for a fundamental change in the neo-Gothic church evaluation equipment as part of a restoration could be 1987-1990 re-erected in the church. Sports

The sports club Ebersbach eV with the departments soccer, aerobics, badminton, basketball, skiing exercises and gymnastics is located in the Seebach Hall in Ebersbach and the surrounding sports facilities.

The tennis club Ebersbach operates three tennis courts in Ebersbach and has 140 members.

Traffic

Bus lines connect Ebersbach with Altshausen and the spa towns Aulendorf Bad Buchau. The municipality belongs to the tariff zone of Lake Constance - Upper Swabia - Transport Association ( bodo ).

Education

The primary school has about 100 students Ebersbach. Secondary schools there are in the near Altshausen and Aulendorf. In Musbach a school was established in 1832, which existed until 1970/1971; Boos was in 1833-1970 a school.
