Ebru Umar

Ebru Umar ( born May 20, 1970 in The Hague) is a Dutch columnist Turkish descent.

Her mother is an artist, her father a surgeon. She studied business administration.

Umar writes columns for various Dutch newspapers and magazines, including Algemeen Dagblad and het Parool. For the magazine Libelle she conducts interviews.

In their texts, it relates to the position in their view " dictator liable Männertums " and lack of human rights in Islam. Ebru Umar speaks of an unconsummated integration with Islamic immigrants in Europe and points to their view, existing contradictions of Islam to a modern world.

Ebru Umar was considered a close friend Theo van Gogh and 2005 took over his column space at the Dutch free newspaper metro.
