The École du Louvre was founded in 1882 and is one of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication imputed School of art history, archeology, epigraphy and museology in Paris. It is located inside the Louvre museum in the wings " Aile de Flore ". As Grande école it is one of the training centers of the French elite in the field of culture.

The École du Louvre and the Institute of Art History at the Ruprecht -Karls- University of Heidelberg provide a common Master's program " International Master Art History and Museology " to ( IMKM ). This bi-national program was founded in the winter semester 2006/ 07 and has enjoyed high popularity of international students.
