Ecology and Society

Ecology and Society - A journal for integrative science for resilience and sustaibility is an international journal of environmental research. The Journal sees itself as an interdisciplinary and will take account of the enormous growth of research in many social - ecological disciplines. Edited and organized is the journal of the Stockholm Resilience Centre Stockholm University.

E & S publishes scientific articles which were written inclusive and cover a wide range of sub- fields, including natural and social sciences and humanities include ( Humanities ). The main focus is on topics that focus on the relationship between society and the natural environment ( ecosystem services, life -supporting ecosystems ).

A distinctive feature of the journal is its open-access principle: All content is free available on the Internet to make all research findings to a wider public and to promote the global exchange of knowledge. E & S is peer-reviewed and is published electronically on the Internet.

The impact factor of the journal was in 2012 at 2,831. This was done on 45th of 136 journals in the category under consideration Ecology Ecology and Society in the ISI Web of Knowledge.
