Ed Davis (basketball)

Edward Adam "Ed" Davis ( born June 5, 1989 in Washington, DC ) is an American basketball player. Since 2013 he plays for the Memphis Grizzlies.

NBA

Davis came from the prestigious University of North Carolina, with whom he won 2009 NCAA championship. After his second year of college, he signed up for the NBA Draft. He was drafted at # 13 out of the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Draft 2010. His first NBA game, he completed on December 1, 2010. He scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and had two blocks. Davis finished his rookie season from 7.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

During his third NBA year he was transferred to the Memphis Grizzlies.

His father is the former basketball player Terry Davis. This played between 1989 and 2001 in the NBA.
