Eddie Levert

Eddie Levert ( born June 16, 1942 in Bessemer, Alabama) is an American soul musician who was best known as the lead singer of the O'Jays.

In 1958, Levert founding member of the Triumph, who later changed their name to The O'Jays and in the 1970s had a string of hits. In addition to his role as lead singer of the band, he was also active as a hit songwriter for both The O'Jays as well as for other artists.

LeVert's sons Gerald and Sean have become known in the 1980s with the R & B band LeVert. Together with Gerald Levert Eddie published in 1995, the album Father and Son
