Ede Tomori

Ede Ignatius Tomori ( born April 28, 1920 in Dudeştii Noi, Romania, † December 30, 1997 in Budapest, Hungary) was a Hungarian photographer.

Life and work

Tomori Ede began his career as a photographer in 1952 in the amateur photo club in Budapest. 1957, where he held the post of Secretary, 1960 he became Secretary General, and in 1976 President of the Association.

Between 1957 and 1960 he became a full -time secretary of the Association of Hungarian photographers with the task of nation-wide to promote the formation and organization of photography associations and support. From 1967 he was a delegate of the Association at the Fédération Internationale de l' Photographic Art in Paris.

In 1961 he worked for the government travel agency IBUSZ as a photographer for tourism catalogs, calendars and posters. Between 1967 and 1971 he worked under contract with the state as well FŐFOTÓ. From 1971 he worked as a freelancer.

He took his travel photography, commercial recordings and still life regularly and successfully at international exhibitions.

His 1956 photographs taken of the Hungarian uprising in 2006 were at the American University Museum, cats Arts Center, Washington DC issued.
