Edelweißlahnerkopf

Edelweißlahnerkopf (third peak from the right) from the Ramsau

Pd2pd4

The Edelweißlahnerkopf, also called Edelweiss Breitlahner, is a 1,953 m high peaks of the edge Reiter Alm in the Berchtesgaden Alps. From the east, from the Ramsau, the mountain shows as clearly upstanding from the top ridge line with steep, latsch marbled rock edge. From the west, as seen from the plateau of the Reiter Alm from the Edelweißlahnerkopf is an unobtrusive, latsch covered knoll.

From the New Traunstein hut a marked path in 2 to 2.5 hours in unschwierigem but effortless full ups and downs leads to the summit with cross.

The view from Edelweißlahnerkopf is to the west, north and east completely free. In the southeast, the west wall of the Watzmanns and the towering directly on the opposite side of the valley hochkalter dominate the panorama. When visibility is good, the Grossglockner is recognizable due south. To the southwest the neighboring Schottmalhorn blocks the view. Particularly impressive is the view from Edelweißlahnerkopf to 1164 m deeper Hintersee and Ramsau.
