Edfu-Project

The Edfu Project is a company founded in 1986 Egyptology long-term project, which has set itself the goal to create a reliable overall translation of ancient Egyptian inscriptions of the temple of Edfu in Upper Egypt. By the year 2002, the project of the German Research Foundation (DFG ) has been promoted. It is now home of the National Academy of Sciences in Göttingen. Seat of the project is Hamburg. The staff includes Dieter Kurth, Wolfgang Waitkus, Andreas Effland, Peter Graeff and Martin Falck.
