Edmund Black
Edmund Black ( Edmund Franklin " Ed " Black, May 3, 1905 Bailey Iceland, Maine; † 22 October 1996 in Westborough, Massachusetts) was an American hammer thrower.
In 1928 he qualified as a U.S. champion for the Olympic Games in Amsterdam. There he won the bronze medal with 49.03 meters behind the Irishman Pat O'Callaghan ( 51.39 m) and Sweden Ossian Skjold ( 51.29 m).
In 1930, he was U.S. vice- champion. His personal best of 52.14 meters he set up in Cambridge on 25 May 1929.
