Edmund Blaurock

Edmund Blaurock ( born October 12, 1899 in Nuremberg, † January 25, 1966 ) was a German officer, played Lieutenant General during World War II.

Life

Blaurock occurred during the First World War on March 27 1907als volunteer in the 8th Field Artillery Regiment "Prinz Heinrich of Prussia " of the Bavarian army. In mid-March 1918 he was transferred to the regiment into the field to the Western Front. During the fights between Arras and Albert Blaurock suffered serious injuries on August 11, 1918 and witnessed the Armistice of Compiègne in the hospital.

He joined after his recovery the Freikorps Epp and worked for the volunteers battery Hirschenauer from June to end of September 1919. Then Blaurock was transferred to the Provisional Reichswehr and assigned to the Reichswehr Artillery Regiment 24. From there, he spent one year later he was transferred to the driving department 7
