Edna Buchanan

Edna Buchanan (born 16 March 1949 in New York City ) is an American journalist and author.

She was one of the first female crime reporter at the Miami Herald and won the 1986 Pulitzer Prize " for general reporting ." In 1987 she published her first novel, the detective series of first person Britt Montero began in 1992. Meanwhile, Buchanan is a writer and has given up the journalists job.
