Edson H. Deal

Edson Hart Deal ( born November 11, 1903 in Weiser, Idaho, † April 22, 1967 ) was an American politician. Between 1951 and 1955 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Idaho.

Career

About the youth and education of Edson Deal nothing is handed down. He lived in Nampa in Canyon County and worked in the insurance industry. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. Between 1941 and 1950 he sat in the Senate from Idaho. In 1944 he was an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention.

1950 Deal was elected to the side of Leonard B. Jordan to the Lieutenant Governor of Idaho. This post he held between 1 January 1951 and 3 January 1955. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In January 1967, he took over the office of the Secretary of State of his state, which he held until his death on 22 April of the same year.

With his wife Gwen had Edson Deal a daughter and two sons.
