Édson Ribeiro

Édson Ribeiro ( Édson Luciano Ribeiro, born December 8, 1972 in Bandeirantes, Paraná ) is a retired Brazilian sprinter who specialized route was the 100 -meter run.

His greatest achievement was winning two Olympic medals with the Brazilian 4 x 100 - meter relay. He won in Atlanta in 1996, together with Arnaldo da Silva, Robson da Silva and André da Silva in 38.41 s the bronze medal behind the teams from Canada and the United States. 2000 Sydney Ribeiro was used on the second position of the relay race and won with Vicente de Lima, André da Silva and Claudinei da Silva in 37.90 seconds the silver medal behind the Americans.
