Eduard Mezger

Edward Metzger, also Mezger, ( born February 13, 1807 in Pappenheim, † 16 September 1894 in Munich; Complete name: Friedrich Eduard Metzger ) was a German architect, painter and author, as well as Bavarian construction officer, Mr and university teachers.

Life

Metzger was born as the son of the Commissioner of City Planning Kaspar butcher in Pappenheim. He studied in 1825 at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, where he was a student of Leo von Klenze and until 1828 a disciple of Friedrich von Gärtner, who took him to a construction project to Athens. He completed the winning goal for gardeners in 1850 in Munich. 1833 Metzger Professor of civil architecture in the Polytechnic School in Munich and 1846 royal Oberbaurat. He was buried in 1894 at the old cemetery in Munich.
