Eduard Tyukin

Eduard Awtandilowitsch Tjukin (Russian Эдуард Автандилович Тюкин; born May 19, 1978 in Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan) is a former Russian weightlifter who started briefly for Kazakhstan.

Career

Tjukins international career began in the youth field. In 1994 he started at the European Youth Championships in Ljubljana, where he scored in the class up to 59 kg 230.0 kg ( 105.0 / 125.0 kg ) and thus won gold in all three disciplines. He had his next assignment at the Junior World Championships in 1997 in Cape Town. Here he faced a 335.0 kg ( 152.5 / 182.5 kg ) in the class to 83 kg of body weight once again took first place in the duel. He could repeat this success at the Junior European Championships in Seville with 332.5 kg ( 152.5 / 180.0 kg ).

In 1998 he competed in the Junior World Championships in Sofia, where he was beaten for the first time and with 347.5 kg to 345.0 kg in the light heavyweight division to 85 kg of Sergei Zhukov was directed to second place. The following year Tjukin first participated in a World Championship of seniors. In Athens, he reached with 350.0 kg ( 160.0 / 190.0 kg ) in single combat the 22nd place. The winner was Shahin Nasirinia from Iran with 390.0 kg.

Then Tjukin was only in 2004 reinstated in international championships. In preparation for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, he took up at the European Championships in Kiev, where he ( 180.0 / 217.5 kg ) raised in a duel in the middle heavy weight to 94 kg 397.5 kg and thus silver behind the Bulgarian Milen Dobrew won with 402.5 kg.
