Eduardo Di Capua

Eduardo Di Capua ( born March 12, 1865 in Naples, † October 3, 1917 ) was an Italian composer.

Di Capua was born the son of a musician. With his father he traveled to many countries in Europe. When he was with this in Odessa, in today's Ukraine in April 1898, he composed the melody of O sole mio. Later he added the song yet added a text. The poet Giovanni Capurro asked him to scoring. Di Capua was also the author of many other songs that are not less known in Naples as O sole mio.
