Eduardo Rodríguez

Eduardo Rodríguez Veltzé ( born March 2, 1956 in Cochabamba, Bolivia) is a Bolivian lawyer and politician. He was on 9 June 2005 to 22 January 2006, the incumbent president of his country.

Rodríguez studied law at the University of Cochabamba and passed his final examination at Harvard University.

He was since 1999 President of the Supreme Court of Bolivia.

Following the resignation of President Carlos Mesa, the Bolivian Parliament Rodríguez appointed on 9 June 2005 as the new interim president of the country. He organized new elections on 18 December of the same year, of which the Socialist Evo Morales emerged as the clear winner.
