Eduardo Rubio

Eduardo Rubio Kostner ( born November 7, 1983 in Chuquicamata, Chile ) is a Chilean- German football player.

The striker played from 2002 to 2006 at Universidad Católica and from January to June 2007, at Cruz Azul. As of June 2007, he plays for Colo Colo. For the 2008/2009 season, however, he was loaned to FC Basel. In the 2009/2019 season he played for Unión Española. He then moved to La Serena and will play there for CD La Serena.

Personal

His father, Hugo Rubio, was also a professional footballer and played 1983-1991 36 times for the Chilean national team. In the late 1980s he played with Ivan Zamorano and Patricio Mardones at FC St. Gallen.
