Edvard Ehlers

Edvard Lauritz Ehlers grew up the son of the mayor of Copenhagen and put his medical exam in the year 1891. In the following years he expanded his studies in Berlin, Breslau, Vienna and Paris. In Iceland, he examined the local decline of leprosy and was honored for his studies with a price of National Leprosy Fund in London. In 1906 he was appointed head of the dermatology clinic at Frederiks Hospital in Copenhagen. From 1911 until his retirement in 1932 he was director at Municipal Hospital in Copenhagen.

The Australian artist Sussanne Morton ( b. 1963 ) is the daughter of Edvard Ehlers son Guy.
