Edward A. Allworth

Edward A. Allworth ( born December 1, 1920) is an American historian. He is professor emeritus of Turco- Soviet Studies and Director of the Center for the Study of Central Asia at Columbia University.

During the Second World War Allworth was active for the U.S. Army in Normandy. His numerous scientific publications deal primarily with the history and culture of Turkic peoples in the Soviet Union.
