Edward Blore

Edward Blore (* September 13, 1787 in Derby, † September 4, 1879 in London) was a British architect and antiquary.

Blore is known primarily for the completion of the renovation of London's Buckingham Palace after the previously commissioned architect John Nash was dismissed. Blore also worked at Lambeth Palace and the St James ' Palace in London and the Salisbury Tower of Windsor Castle, for the Vorontsov Palace in Alupka in today's Ukraine and drew up designs for the Government House in Sydney, Australia.

Blore was a friend of Sir Walter Scott. The architect Philip Charles Hardwick and Frederick Marrable learned with him, also William Mason worked with him. He was a member of the Royal Society and one of the founders of the Royal Archaeological Institute.
