Edward Kitsis

Edward Lawrence Kitsis ( born February 4, 1971 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American screenwriter and television producer, known for his work on the ABC television series Lost, Once Upon a Time - Once upon a time ... and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. He is also known by his stage name Eddy Kitsis.

Life and career

Edward Kitsis was born in 1971 as son of Tybe and Arlen Kitsis in Minneapolis in the U.S. state of Minnesota. He studied with Adam Horowitz at the University of Wisconsin -Madison and graduated in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in arts, entertainment and media. After graduating, he moved together with Horowitz to Los Angeles, where he worked as an assistant until he was hired as a screenwriter for a remake of Fantasy Series Fantasy Iceland. However, this was discontinued after thirteen episodes, he devoted himself to both The WB series Popular and Felicity. After the end of the two series in 2002 he wrote, among other screenplays for Birds of Prey, Life as We Know It and One Tree Hill, as well as for the television film marriage with obstacles. In 2005, he came in the middle of the first season of the ABC TV series Lost as a screenwriter and a producer on the staff of the series. The second season premiere in September 2006 he was promoted to Supervising Producer. In February 2006, he was the WGA Award for Best Screenplay along with the rest of the staff - Dramatic Series win. During the third and fourth season, he acted alongside his two other works as a co -executive producer and has been nominated for a further 2008 WGA Award and an Emmy. In the fifth and sixth season he was promoted to executive producer and wrote at this time to continue scripts for the series, so he was nominated in February 2010 for a further WGA Award.

Kitsis and Horowitz also wrote the screenplay for the film Tron: Legacy, a sequel to Tron, as well as some of the screenplays for two films based on the short-lived animated series TRON: Uprising. He and Horowitz are also the creators of the fantasy series Once Upon a Time - Once upon a time ... which is broadcast on ABC since 23 October 2011. Had the concept to the series the two.
