Edward Miner Gallaudet

Edward Miner Gallaudet (* 1837, † 1917), son of Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet founded 1864 in Washington, DC with the philanthropist and former U.S. Postmaster General Amos Kendall, the National Deaf- Mute College. It was the first college for deaf students, which was renamed in 1894 after his father in Gallaudet College.
