Edward Pearce, Baron Pearce

Edward Holroyd Pearce, Baron Pearce, of Sweethaws in the County of Sussex, PC ( born February 9, 1901 in Sidcup, Kent, † 26 November 1990 ) was a British lawyer who most recently as Lord of Appeal in Ordinary, due to the Appellate Jurisdiction Act in 1876 as a Life peer and member of the House of Lords was.

Life

After attending Charterhouse School Pearce graduated in law at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford and, after its completion in 1925 his legal approval to the Chamber of Lawyers ( Inns of Court ) of the Middle Temple. He then began working as a barrister before he became in 1947 deputy chairman of the quarter court ( Court of Quarter Sessions ) of East Sussex.
