Edward W. Cooch

Edward Webb Cooch, Sr. ( born January 17, 1876 at Newark, Delaware, † November 22, 1964 in Delaware ) was an American politician. Between 1937 and 1941 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Delaware.

About the youth and education of Edward Cooch nothing is handed down. Later he was a literary activities among others. He has published several books mainly on historical themes. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Party. In 1936 he was elected to the side of Richard C. McMullen for Lieutenant Governor of Delaware. This post he held 1937-1941. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate.

With his wife Eleanor Bedford Cooch (1883-1969) he had two sons. He died on 22 November 1964 and was buried in his hometown of Newark.
