Edwin Gorter

Gorter Wilhelmus ( born July 6, 1963 in The Hague ) is a former Dutch football player. He is the father of Donny Gorter, who currently plays for NAC Breda.

Club career

Gorter was active as an attacking midfielder and a striker in the eighties and nineties. In his playing career he often joined the club. He played in various clubs of the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Belgium and finally even of the United States. His best time he experienced probably the Swiss club FC Lugano, since he played there over 150 championship games. He was known for a good shooting technique. In November 1999, he finished his career.
